Every Nol piece comes with a full account of where it was made, how it was made, and what it did in the world.
The Fabric
Nol uses Giza 87 Egyptian extra-long staple cotton — the naturally whitest cotton strain commercially available, grown in the Nile Delta region of Egypt. Giza 87 is selected because it achieves optical white without aggressive bleaching, preserving the integrity of the fibre. The yarn is spun at 140/2 twofold, ring-spun — a thread finer than a human hair — delivering both opacity and the silk-like hand-feel the scarf requires at just 95–105 gsm.

The Making
Every Nol scarf is hand-finished in England by a couture-trained artisan using the roulotté main technique — the same hand-rolled hem used by Hermès on every silk scarf since the 1930s. The raw edge of the Giza 87 fabric is rolled between the fingers and stitched with invisible thread grabs, creating a rounded, refined edge that lies flat and moves beautifully with the fabric. No machine hemming touches the scarf at any point.

The Unboxing
The packaging is part of the product. What Your Purchase Does
The majority of every Nol profit goes directly to charitable causes. This is not a percentage rounded for marketing purposes. It is a founding commitment made before the first piece was sold.
"Every piece of fabric that leaves a Nol package carries a promise — wa'd — that it was made with the same care and intention one brings to ibadah, and that it will do good in the world long after it is worn."
